I have been stuck with writing a scene for a while now. Things in this scene got a little awkward and both Anna and Raks were angry at the third mc, Amadis, whom I haven't introduced yet.
Might even say that I had writer's block. But I got over it now. The solution was actually quite simple. I just had to go back and prevent what caused the root of the problem. Now there's no more awkwardness and no need to figure out how to diffuse the situation.
As zedd from one of my favored books, "Wizard's first rule", said: "Don't think of the problem, think of the solution!"
Besides, I added a nice bit of dialogue.
"This is going to be a long night," said Raks.
"You have no idea how long! This is not Earth for you. Yes, days in Eddling are long and full of light but nights... Nights here are as long as time waiting for something and as dark as a dungeon," said Amadis.
