May

May is over, so summer is ahead. Let's see what it brings.  This month I have managed to work with the book a little. Not much, but a small progress is still a progress. I am enjoying the company of my characters and that's a big thing in itself.

April

April went like a blur. First, I had to get used to working in the new position. It's hard, but I'm getting a little bit stronger.  Also, we had many birthdays in our family in April, including Jaan's. That took some time. Some things needed to be done around the house, too. So, I had very little time and energy for the book. I still enjoyed doing the little that I could.

March

A little bit late, but here it is, my monthly update. Sadly, I had pneumonia this month. I was too sick to write anything. Another month lost...  Now the spring has come with sunshine and flowers, and my health has returned. A big life event is that my work at the check-out counter has ended. Self-check-out took over. They offered me a job filling the shelves instead so this is what I do now. Right now my legs protest hard against suddenly having to work instead of sitting at the counter all day. I hope that I will get used to it.Perhaps I will get a little bit more writing time now that my job starts a little earlier and ends also earlier. So, in the long run, it might be even good. And it's definitely less stressful. Let's see how it will turn out.

February

I'm back after some time of silence. I have been battling high blood pressure for two months. So, I had no energy for writing or blogging. I have been exercising taking small walks in the neighborhood and, slowly, I have staring to see some results. I still have a long way to go to health, but this is a start.February is supposed to be a winter month vere in Estonia, but this it has been more like spring.  Snowdrops in February? Welcome to the fairytale!I have started to work on the book again. It's nice to revisit my own words. Scenes that I don't even remember writing. I'm in the mood to continue on.On a personal level, I have a tough time. I had to choose between getting dismissed from work or accepting a job of filling the shop aisles fornimum payment. So, starting from April, I will work in a new position. Challenging time for me.

December

Happy New Year, everybody! A new year and a new month. December has not been nice to us. Jaan had a pneumonia. Again. Thank God he's recovered by now, but worrying about both his health and money issues that came along with it left not much mental Space for writing. Still, I managed to finish typing in a chapter today. The new year came with a big bang this year. Even police vars and ambulances were there to toot in honorof coming year. It was awesome! I really hope that this year will be better than last one.

November

I had a lot of work in November. Also, my birthday was in November, so some guests came over. That left me no time to write.  Jaan and my mother put some money together to gift me a cruise trip to Stockholm and back. It was awesome. I got to see the king's castle in all of its glory. Wow! It's hard to even put into words. Should I write something about royalty, I now have some idea of how a palace looks like inside. But now it's December. Time to prepare some poetry for Santa Claus!

October

October was full of sunshine and colors in Estonia. Nice! I even made a few haikus, but I didn't write them down and now they are wiped out of my memory. Perhaps they weren't so good? I should remember a really good haiku, right? Anyway, lesson learned! At the moment, my focus is on typing in book three. That means, no editing or writing has been done this month. I can't do everything at once.

September

September had been the month of healing for me. In a way, I have come out of the illness stronger than before. Not being able to eat much when sick seems to have fixed my blood sugar problem. I don't need the medication for it anymore.I'm finally back at work, though I had a small vacation only a few days after I got back. I used the time to recover a little more and to work on my book. I have been editing a lot. Also, I have been writing book three a bit. So, it has been a successful month. Who's been a good girl? Me! Me! I still have a lot of work to do If intend to stick to the plan to finish editing book one by the end of the year, but ther's some time still left. Everything is still possible!Ah, and it has been an unusually warm September this year in Estonia. It was nice to enjoy the last sunny days before the autumn rains finally arrived.

August

The summer is over, and the fall is knocking on the door.Sadly, we both have spent the last month of summer sick in bed with some kind of a bad virus. Antibiotics are helping, but I'm not sure which is worse-  sickness or side effects of the antibiotics.I have done a potential on rare moments of clarity, but it's not much.Sometimes life happens. Not everything goes as hoped and planned. Luckily, bad times don't last forever. Soon I will be off the antibiotics and hopefully can return to normal life.On the 1. September, I'd like to honor my first teacher who encouraged me to write. Her praise on my first attempt to write something gave me the courage to keep writing. My first story was so childish that now I laugh about it when I remember it, but she still saw some potential in it. I wish that every child had a teacher who sees their strengths and helps to develop them. Greetings to all teachers and students!

July

Pooh! July has been hot in Estonia. I don't bear heat well. Not been in the condition to do very much. So, instead of writing, I have been mostly just reading this month. I finished the third book of Mistborn series. I love the series, but I was not satisfied with the ending. The deaths of both main characters is not my idea of a happy ending even if the world was saved. And there was a romantic sideplot with ends left loose and only hints that they got together. Still, a good read.

June

The hot, hot June has ended. Many people have a vacation in summer, but I already had mine in May, so work work work for me. Actually, I don't mind. I could enjoy the bliss of conditioner at work. I must admit, I didn't work so diligently at my editing. Sometimes you got to live your real life. At least I edited the beginning of the chapter.By the way, we had our anniversary in June. 20 years with this awesome man who is not only a loving husband but also a great writing coach to me! I'm so lucky! Not sure if I would have gotten anywhere with my writing without his help. Mustu has accommodated well with us. She has grown into a beautiful gerbil in a month. When she came to us, she was just a baby. Gerbils, they grow up so fast!Have a great summer, everybody!

May

I realized something this month: If I try to be perfect, I won't get anywhere. After spending hours meticulously searching for best of the best versioon of every sentence, I had so dissapointingly little achieved that I had to face it - this is not sustainable way to do it. So, in the next editing sessioon, I let a little loose and I got much more results. Of cource, there's a danger of getting sloppy. I guess, I have to find some kind of a happy medium....
